Perihelion Global Begins Production of Biodiesel - 6/11/08

Perihelion Global, a company with interests in natural resources, alternative energies and communication announced that their biodiesel plant located in Opp, Alabama has met ASTM D 6751 specifications required for EPA registration.  This certifies their fuel as true grade biodiesel, allowing them to sell their biodiesel as motor fuel.  The refinery in Opp, Alabama is online and producing biodiesel.  The company plans to produce several million gallons of B100 biodiesel during the first year from Phase One of its Opp biodiesel refinery operation.

"We are pleased that our Biodiesel has passed the latest comprehensive ASTM D 6751 specifications, which we consider to be more difficult for a multi-feedstock producer to obtain. We're excited about entering our production phase, and appreciate the support of the local Opp community and our shareholders as we faced and ultimately overcame several obstacles along the way," said John H. Beebe, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

U.S. legislation gives incentives up to $1.10 per gallon of EPA registered biodiesel for production up to 15 million gallons per year.  For production up to 60M gallons, up to $1.00 per gallon will be given in incentives.

Beebe believes with diesel fuel hitting record highs individuals, agricultural and commercial interests will increase their use of cleaner biodiesel fuel.
