Portland City Council OK's Alternative Fuel Plan - 7/16/06
Gas station owners in Portland will soon be required to sell a gasoline alternative.
The new plan will require gas stations to offer diesel with 5% biodiesel and gas with 10% ethanol made from corn.
The City Council approved commissioner Randy Leonard's biodiesel proposal Wednesday night and The new mandate takes effect July first of 2007.
