General Motors Selling Volt on eBay - 8/9/09

GM CEO Fritz Henderson announced they will begin working with eBay to sell new vehicles.  The question is will GM sell the coming Chevy Volt on eBay.  Would GM sell the first few Volts on eBay at much higher prices than what you would buy from a local dealer?

The answer to these questions is yes.  Chevy Brand Manager Ed Peper suggested that GM may indeed sell new Volts on eBay at a profit.  He said they could even have auctions on the vehicles.  This has worked well as certified used vehicles.
