Renault Planning Three Electric Vehicles - 6/23/09

Renault will be showing three electric vehicles at the Frankfurt Motor Show.  Renault will also show their concept model.  The concept is said to be based on the same platform that their partner Nissan is using for its new EV coming out in 2010.

Nissan’s EV should be at the Tokyo auto show this fall.  Representatives at Renault say these new Evs will have some distinctive styling setting them apart from the rest of the lineup. 

Renault will be also showing their fast charging technology and battery swapping equipment.  They will be showing electric conversion of the Megane and Kangoo.  The Megane will be the first EV to be sold by Renault-Nissan in Israel.  This will be a partnership with Better Place.
