Wal-Mart may Sell Ethanol (E85) at their Gas Stations - 6/1/06

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. may offer ethanol made from corn at its 383 gas stations across the country, a company spokesman said Wednesday, May 31 2006.

While Wal-Mart is not ready to announce anything yet, this does excite the ethanol industry with the prospect. Wal-Mart already provides gas at their locations from independent gas stations.

This could be one way to kick start the transition away from fossil fuels.
