Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Trials to Continue in Australia - 10/2/06
Australia will maintain it participation with the international hydrogen fuel cell bus trial. They have currently extended their original two year agreement for another 12 months. This is an effort continue knowledge in the technology. They are hoping to encourage commercial production. They have traveled over 160,000 km and carried over 200,000 passengers. These buses have saved over 272 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. They are hoping that these buses will be cheaper to maintain and they also emit no greenhouse gases or smog-creating emissions.
