EcoMobil Launching Hydrogen Generator Kit - 9/22/08
EcoMobil’s President, K.B. Prasad has announced they will be introducing to India a kit called the Hfactor costing less than Rs 20,000 and will run on a signal charge for 3,500 km.
EcoMobil will start manufacturing the Hfactor hydrogen generator in India. Prasad expects the cost to come down further.
EcoMobil purchased the Hfactor technology from Raymond Russ a pioneer in hydrogen fuel technology. Ross in the past worked with Ford for over three decades as a senior master technician for Ford’s fuel cell technology vision.
The hydrogen generator sits on the engine of a vehicle and separates water into hydrogen and oxygen. It then infuses hydrogen in the air intake manifold helping the engine burn fuel more efficiently.
The unit has internal positively and negatively charged components and using a chemical catalyst creates a reaction separating the hydrogen and oxygen from the water.
Introducing hydrogen regulates the usage of fuel using less fuel in the process and increasing efficiency. This also reduces carbon monoxide and other emissions.
Another advantage is the hydrogen cleans the carbon deposits built up over time on the vehicle’s pistons and valves. This allows more fuel to be used for power instead of being absorbed by the carbon deposits and it increases the horsepower of the vehicle.
